Entrepreneur & Strategic Advisor — Seattle
End to end, across every function. Praxis Unlimited is that same practice — for founders and organizations who need someone who's actually done the work, not just advised on it.
Approach
Four services, in the order clients actually need them: plan, build the system, bring the right people to the table, then design the program that carries it forward.
Landscape analysis, leverage points, and a path forward that's ambitious and actually achievable. Two decades of turning complex challenges into strategy — and strategy into a plan a team can execute against.
Workflow design, costing models, budget management, stakeholder coordination. These are systems built inside my own companies first — not just recommended from the outside.
Facilitating and sustaining the relationships that make complex work possible — multi-stakeholder coalitions, advisory bodies, and cross-sector partnerships that hold up under pressure.
Designing, managing, and growing programs from concept through implementation and reporting — built with the people they serve, not just for them.
Selected Work
An apparel brand, a record label, a software platform, and an anti-racist education practice — different industries, same instinct: build the thing well and make it last.

About
I've spent 25+ years alternating between building things myself and helping other people build theirs. Before I called myself a consultant, I was running a catering kitchen six days a week, managing operations across four ventures at once for a serial inventor, and pitching investors on a 155-SKU product catalog.
That operating background is what makes the advisory work useful. I've done the P&L, the costing model, the hiring, the vendor negotiation — so when I sit across from a founder or a program director, I'm not guessing at what the job actually requires.
I also spent a decade in coalition and community work — co-chairing a 156-organization labor coalition, co-founding a global justice nonprofit, building statewide campaigns from the ground up. That work taught me how to move people who don't report to each other toward a shared outcome, which turns out to be most of what running a company actually requires too.

Whether that's a company, a program, or a strategy that's stalled out — I've probably built or fixed something close to it.
